Our standalone garden rooms are a great option for hobbyists who want to craft, paint, collect, play, build, and game, there’s no limit! Create a perfect hideaway to practice your passion away from domestic distractions and enjoy peace and solitude in your fantastic garden room. If you’re wanting to install storage, an art space, technical equipment, beautiful lighting, or mood music to perfect your craft in style then that can be done. Our garden rooms are completely insulated, energy-efficient, comfortable and designed to last.

To ensure you get the most out of your hobby room, our buildings are built using energy-efficient, structurally insulated panels (SIPS) for the walls, floor and roof. Even the splines between the panels are ‘mini’ SIPs panels which means that your building is fully insulated and with no ‘cold bridging’ areas. SIPs panels are lightweight and strong making them a quicker and easier option to use on a project but still of the highest quality. The panels offer a low U rating which means that your building will be cosy in the winter and cool in the summer.

For the foundation system, we use galvanised steel pile foundations to a depth of 1200mm overwrapped with a DPC layer and then laser levelled to ensure a completely flat platform to build up from. The ground screw foundations are faster to install than concrete and can be built on right away. By using the ground screws, allows our team to build on sites that are uneven or sloping, but longer piles may be needed at an additional cost if the soil conditions aren’t great.

Alternative foundations such as concrete bases or jack pads can also be provided, and our team will carry out a free site survey to pick out the best system to match your requirements.

If you’re looking for the perfect, quaint space to partake in a new or rekindled passion then please do contact us here at Garden Hideouts. Tell us your vision and the team will be more than happy to talk you through the process, and what can be done to best suit your needs. We’ll also make it stress-free for you by keeping you informed every step of the way from design to delivery and installation.
