When you're busy working from home, you need to be able to carve out a separate space away from kids, dogs, delivery drivers and all the loud distractions that surround you daily. There is an answer that can still involve not returning to the workplace, and we can deliver that to you in the form of the garden office - your slice of peaceful working heaven!
Garden Hideouts design, build and install garden rooms, annexes, shepherd huts and home offices. Think about how you would imagine your dream home office to be, whether it’s the balance of office and home life or strictly business to keep productivity going, whatever your needs are we can provide it.
When building the home office, our buildings are built using energy-efficient, structurally insulated panels (SIPS) for the walls, floor and roof. Even the splines between the panels are ‘mini’ SIPs panels which means that your building is totally insulated and there are no ‘cold bridging’ areas. Not only are SIPs panels great for the environment, but they’re lightweight and strong making them a quicker and easier build option to use on a project. The panels offer a low U rating which in turn means that your building is always going to be cosy in the winter and cool in the summer.
Our preferred method of foundation system is galvanised steel pile foundations to a depth of 1200mm overwrapped with a DPC layer, and then laser levelled ensuring a completely flat platform to build up from. By using ground screw foundations, we can build on sloping and uneven areas, longer piles may be needed at an additional cost if the ground conditions aren’t ideal. And don’t worry about the weather delaying the installation, as ground screw foundations can be installed all year round without any concerns with rain or frost causing a delay.
We also provide alternative foundations such as concrete bases or jack pads to suit your requirements. Our team will determine the best system for you by carrying out a free site survey.
If having your own personal office sounds like a no-brainer, then please contact us. We’ll look at your vision, how we can match that and then make sure that the whole process is easy for you by keeping you informed at every step.
